July 3rd Fireworks!!

I have finally gotten around to posting our July events or some of them anyway. I'm still waiting for pictures from Jamie on some of our activities!
On July 3rd we went to the Stadium for the fireworks it is the first time in years (I mean years) that we went in. We went with Curt and Nancy's family and Grandma and Grandpa. It was the first time that Olivia has been that close to fireworks. So we were all excited to see what she would do. Landon and Grandpa and Gracie killing time for before the fireworks start. Mindi and Jamie poor Devin had to work so we just got Mindi. We were excited she was there and of course Jamie and Landon too. We look forward to spending time with them as often as we can. Olivia wanted her dad to buy her nachos and he said no! So she didn't want to be our little girl anymore. She was going to live with Curt and Nancy they would take care of her. Needless to say I did buy her some Nachos I hope she always remembers mom gives in I'm sure all regret that someday! The First Firework went off she wasn't to sure about it. We all watched her for those first few. The look and her actions were priceless. She would jump from Grandma to me but I think she enjoyed them.

We had a great time at the fireworks we didn't get home til almost midnight. We enjoyed Logan Cities attempt at getting the stadium parking lot emptied quickly. It didn't work!! We just layed a blanket out on the lawn and watched as people just sat in there cars lined up for miles.

I hope they think of something diffrent for next year!!

Girl's Camp!

This year girl's camp was at Heber Valley. The church owns a camp there that is awesome. I was suppose to go but wasn't able to when it came down to it. Nicole and Sadie rode down on the bus together. There bunks in the cabin. Our ward. Aren't they cute. I think they all had a great time. Nicole has just talked about it since she got home. This was there cabin. Isn't it cute. Nicole said, Pres. Hinckley came up when the camp was built and said they need a lake. So this lake was man made.

Summer Games 2008

Well another year of Summer Games has come and gone. No Gold this year. The girls did great they where 2-1 but didn't have enought points to get them to the semi-finals. Darn! They played great. The weather was beautiful not to hot and not to cool just right. The morning we left Cache Valley had snow on the foothills and we came back to 80* weather. Great to live in Cache Valley!! Wouldn't change that at all.
The ride down we had my Cousin Liz's daughter Paige and Sadie aren't they cute!!
We did our usual followed Liz or should I say she followed us til the last hour of the drive when she suddenly got a lead foot! I guess Julie was getting nervous about the 4:00 game and she had to register the team still. Our first night in Cedar consists of a fashion and talent show with the girls that stay in the same hotel we do. This is the parade of fashion at the beginning. The four parents are the judges. Kim is the announcer (a.ka. Ryan Secrest) I am Simon and Liz is Randy Jackson and Julie was Paula Abdul. This is Nicole for her talent and fashion Flower (aka Sadie) Had on her best fashion on save the trees. She had grass in her hair to. Megan was the neighborhood nerd. Megan on her way to one of the games. They got new uniforms this year. The warm up and wait before the game.

While we watch the game the kids are busy at the playground. It works great for us there is quite a few kids that all get along great we hotel by them and then they are at the games to play together as well. They are all so darn cute.

This is Gracie and her buddies Olyvia and Hanna. Gracie and HannaA bunch of the cute girls. Olyvia, Dasha, Hanna, Gracie and OliviaOlivia in one of the tunnels.

We had a great time this year. Liz's van broke down on Thursday night on the way to the opening cermonies. But her awesome husband had it all arranged on Friday morning for the tow truck the garage to fix it and a rental car for the day. What a man! It got us out of a trip to Zion. I don't mind it but the kids just hate to leave there buddies. So on Friday we spent the day laying around and swimming. The kids enjoyed ever minute but Jerry was very bored. Thank you sweetie for letting us stay and play.

Memorial Day!!

Memorial day is a big reunion for my mother-in-laws side. Her sisters and their families come up and we party. This year however it was raining and no one comes when it rains. So it was just our family. It was a nice lazy day to visit with each other. Everyone was up. Justin, Mindi and Devon enjoying the day. At the end of the day we had a baby shower for Kara. This is our cutie Brookann. She is so cute we just love it when we get to see her, which isn't very often she is so busy working and now being with Scotty. Around 4:00 or 5:00 we all go for a walk to the cemetary. This is sweet little Parker. Celiece and Nathan with Parker and Olivia. Olivia and Gracie won't leave him alone. The poor kid. We put a flower on Megan's buddies grave. She pasted away a few years ago. Megan still cries missing Taylor. I don't know if that will ever end. It comes up every so often and I don't blame her at all. It was a very difficult time. We are grateful to know that she is in a better place.
So there is our Memorial Day fun.
