Olivia and Landen

I love this picture is one of my favorites I was so glad when Nancy gave it to us. Olivia has carried it around for days and then left it at grandmas for days. So I finally got it home and scanned and here it is! Don't you love it! Landen is my nephew and he left on his mission in October he is South Carolina and is loving it. Olivia is at the age where she doesn't understand why he had to go on a mission and when he is going to come home. We tell her when she is going into 1st grade he will home. She doesn't really like our answers she just wants him home. For the first four months she would just start crying and then just say she misses Landen so much and wants him to come home. Just an out of the blue kind of think for awhile it would be every day then it has gone to a few days. We love Landen and we are so glad he is where he is at and that he is doing so great. Not much else is going on in the Kidd home. I think I should blog about Christmas since I never did that one of the girls reminded me the other day. So maybe tomorrow. Or I should just go over some old photos. I have had a one track mind lately so I'll try and think of some stuff to blog about. We don't go any where and there is nothing news worthy so that is what you'll get.

A Day Out!

Yesterday I took Nicole and Megan for much needed outing. We took Sadie and Nancy Deimer with us too. We took the drive to the Draper area and took a tour of the new Temple. What a beautiful place. I loved all of the temple areas we got to see. It was great to have the chance for my older girls to get to inside the temple. I so want them to know of the greatest place to be. I want them to strive their hardest to make sure they marry there. The sealing room was amazing and the brides room was beautiful. We had the chance to sit in the sealing room together and look into the mirrors and I got the chance to tell my girls of how they day they get married will be. Where they will sit and where I will sit. Where they will kneel. It was a great day! We ate at Macaroni Grill on the way home and just had a nice time. It was great to get out of the valley of snow(or at least Richmond). One of the funniest things was Megan asking my about the baptismal font and why there are so many buffalo holding it up! I laughed and laughed! It was a great day!

Valentines Day!

So my anniversary is 3 days before Valentine's day and we had young women so we didn't go out til Saturday for our anniversary and Valentine's day. Our family tradition is a big family Valentine's dinner on Valentine's day but since it fell on a Saturday this year being date night and all we had it on Friday night. The tradition is this we have a fancy meal eat with the crystal goblets and have sparkling cider and candle's the kids talk about it forever after. Dinner was Chicken Cordon bleu and funeral potatoes with casper salad, asparagus and rolls. And Jerry usually brings the girls each there on bouquet of flowers. This year was different we had a funeral of a very good friends father this day so the trip to the store for them didn't happen. The girls where very understanding about it though. And we had a ward game night that night too. BUSY BUSY!

Dinner in the dark can't beat that. We had a great time as all ways.

For Valentine's my sweetie took me to Borderline for one delicious steak and then off to soak in the hot pots at Riverdale. We froze our buns off and had one interesting experience but we had a great time. And I did get roses for my anniversary from my sweetie. It was a great Valentine's day.

Sad Day!

Okay so I have been waiting for Jerry to move all the pictures from one computer to the other to back them up on the hard drive. It is done so I could load some pictures off the camera. This was a couple Saturdays ago. The project for the day. I have been thinking about this for months. I bought this piece of furniture while Jerry was on his mission and it was one of the first things I bought. So you could say it is special to me. I had come to terms with cutting it apart or down which ever word you want to use. Then Clair came over and asked if I was sure that made me question it all. I should have gotten a picture of the before I look for one. We have many years of pictures with it. We begun by taking the stuff out and doors off. and the back panel off as well. Then we flipped it on its side.
I believe this is the second cut I couldn't watch the first I had to run to the bedroom and hope they did okay. After that I did stay in the room trying to vacuum sawdust and hold the top as it was separated from the bottom. It all went smoothly I was so grateful for that. My house however was full of sawdust YUCK!

The finished product. We even used the shelves that use to be in the glass part and made shelves behind each of those doors. It looks great you would never know that it was any different than the way it looks now. My husband did an amazing job and his idea worked I'm so glad. I'm glad Clair was there to help!

4 Kids and 16 Years!

The day Jerry left on his mission. What a horrible day! I'm glad he went and I'm glad I waited He was worth the wait!
Wow I'm a little slow. Yesterday was out 16 Year anniversary. Wow time does fly. Jerry brought me a dozen roses and we are going out to dinner to celebrate this weekend. It was Young Women so we had no babysitters to go last night. And I got my present last week!! Those of you know what it is! And I love it! I wish I still looked this good. But Jerry has gotten better looking with each passing year. I'm grateful to have such an awesome husband who is willing to do anything to make me happy. I'm so happy being a wife and mother and it is all because of Jerry. Thank You!

Jerry's Birthday

Mindi emailed the pictures of Jerry at Texas Roadhouse. They are small because they came off her phone. I was laughing to hard to get a good one. It was so funny! I don't know if the picture does it justice! Remember he is on a saddle and I thought they put a cowboy hat on his head but it isn't there. And then they yell for the whole restaurant to know it is his birthday. It truly was priceless.
